Pokemon Go NEWS: Hidden Niantic update solves BIGGEST Gen 2 problem

Post by AlleyRose on Tue Feb 21, 2017 9:33 pm

POKEMON Go developer Niantic has fixed a problem that was plaguing the recent release of Gen 2 Pokemon.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic has solved one of Gen 2's biggest problems with a new update.
And it's good news for Pokemon Go fans who have struggled to capture Togetic, because the elusive critter is now easier to catch.

With a capture rate of just 1%, Togetic was almost impossible to catch after the launch of the Gen 2 update.

“Togetic's catch rate in the wild is basically 1% no matter what ball or berry you use. There are stories of people wasting their entire supply of Ultras and having nothing to show for it.

“Unless you're really dying for the Pokedex entry and are willing to gamble your inventory away, it's probably a better idea to just find a Togepi and evolve it.”

But that's all changed thanks to the latest update, which makes Togetic encounters much fairer.

Togetic's catch rate is now been increased to 5%, although its escape rate is also pretty high.

But the big difference, according to The Silph Road, is that using items like Berries and Ultra Balls will actually make it easier to catch.

Pokemon Go Gen 2 Pokemon REVEALED
Sat, February 11, 2017

POKEMON Go fans just got their first taste of the 80 new Gen 2 Pokemon coming to the game as part of the new update.

It may take a long time, lots of walking and plenty of Candy, but evolving Togetic from Togepi is still probably the easiest way to get one.

And Togetic isn’t the only Gen 2 rarity. Recent reports have suggested that Evolution Items are also proving hard to come by.

One player commented that he tried spinning a group of Poke Stops over 200 times and still didn't receive any of the special items.

Clearly Niantic has a few kinks to iron out during the coming weeks.

Fans can also expect new trading features to be introduced soon, not to mention player-v-player combat.

There have even been suggestions that Niantic could tie trading with roads and transport hubs, allowing those traveling on them to trade with others.

PvP will probably be added before then, especially if game director John Hanke's recent comments are anything to go by.

Hanke said the feature took longer than expected to implement, but would be added soon.
