Man Build Shed for Wife....
You've probably heard of a "man cave" but this charming alternative — adorably called a "she shed" — will have you rushing to build one in your backyard.
Alan Parker of Semmes, Ala. decided to build his wife Teani a space wherein she could spend time decompressing from her daily stresses completely undisturbed. The 144-square-foot bit of backyard paradise allows her to take a mini-vacation whenever she wants — without having to leave home.
The pastel color palette adds just the right amount of sweetness to the exterior, and the scrollwork lends some feminine flourish to the otherwise angular structure.

Parker tells readers that her husband began this endeavor in the spring of last year. This is what the shed looked like initially.

The building process was a labor of love, and you can see how much heart went into the construction when it's complete.

This is Parker's view from the settee. Thanks to all the windows, she can enjoy the sun while lounging and can even take a cat nap while feeling its warm rays. Of course, Parker also has a heat pump that allows her to regulate the temperature of her shed, no matter the season.

In keeping with the quaint exterior, Parker decorated the interior with a shabby chic theme. The decor is a combination of antique finds, such as the aqua lamp in the corner, and items Parker made herself. The settee's cushion cover is an example of her handiwork.

A dazzling chandelier adds a touch of elegance to Parker's "she shed" and also provides ample light for reading and crafting.

This table and the plates are also antiques, and the decorative cakes are actually made from sponges. What a cute and creative way to tie the color scheme together!

This antique rocking chair serves as more than just a decorative piece. According to Parker, it still folds up properly.
"She shed" are rising in popularity and Parker's tour is sure to spark some shed-envy. Whether you're enjoying some alone time or having tea with another "she shed" enthusiast, these pint-sized palaces are the ultimate girly getaway.
