Simple Puff Pastries With Fresh Fruit Recipe Yummy
Ingredients
1 package (17.3 ounces) Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed
1 egg
1 Tablespoon water
Filling
Jam of your choice

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

  3. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork; Set aside.

  4. Unfold 1 pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.

  5. Cut the pastry sheet into 9 (3-inch) squares. Repeat with the remaining pastry sheet.

  6. Place half of the pastry suares onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

  7. Top each with a spoonful of jam of your choice.

  8. Brush the edges of the pastry circles with the egg wash. Place the remaining pastry squares over the filling. Press the edges firmly to seal.

  9. Using a sharp knife or a pair of kitchen shears, cut two small slits in the top of each filled pastry.

  10. Bake for 15 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown on the top and the bottoms. Let the pastries cool before eating.

  11. Serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup or honey
